A 200-acre campground and RV resort deep in eastern Lancaster County's Amish country at Narvon, with shaded tent sites, full-hookup RV rows, and unusual stays like yurts, a caboose, treehouses, and barn camping — about an hour from us via US-322.
Our take Narvon is about an hour from us via US-322 East, an easy run with a loaded rig or a trailer behind you. Since we do RV repair and hitch and trailer work too, we know a long tow can shake things loose — if anything feels off on the way down or back, we're right at I-81 Exit 80 in Grantville, about 12 minutes north of Hershey, and happy to take a look.
The property runs roughly 200 acres of woods and open ground, with genuinely shaded tent sites set among the trees alongside full-hookup RV sites (water, electric, sewer, 50-amp) and seasonal sites. If you want something more unusual than a tent or a trailer, this is one of the few places around where you can book a yurt, a tepee, a caboose, a covered wagon, a treehouse, a log cabin, or a park-model cottage — so it scales from a quick weekend to a whole season.
It's a full amenity resort rather than a quiet woodland campground. There are indoor and outdoor pools plus a kiddie pool, water play areas, and a spa tub; a six-acre stocked lake with rowboat, paddleboat, and kayak rentals and fishing; mini golf; the on-site Getaway Café; a dog park; an arcade and game room; and courts for basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard, and horseshoes. There's also an entertainment hall and a regular schedule of planned family activities in season. It's part of the Sun Outdoors network, and longtime campers may know it by its former name, Lake in Wood Camping Resort.
