Creekside Tavern & Scratch Kitchen · Lebanon, PA
Colebrook Tavern is a refurbished neighborhood tavern on Mt Wilson Road in Lebanon, PA, sitting right beside the Conewago Creek — a from-scratch kitchen, a deep local liquor-license history, and the locally famous Coleburger, about thirty minutes east of our shop.
Our take Colebrook Tavern sits out on the Lebanon Valley back roads, an easy detour off Route 72 — and only about thirty minutes east of our shop at I-81 Exit 80, so it's a natural meal stop on a Hershey-area day trip.
Colebrook Tavern is the kind of back-roads spot that feels like it has always been here, because in a sense it has. The building reportedly holds one of the longest-running liquor licenses in Lebanon County, so this stretch of Mt Wilson Road has been a place to gather for a long time. A new owner reopened it in late 2023 after a full refurbishment and rebuilt the kitchen from the ground up. What you get now is a room that feels lived-in rather than freshly minted, tucked along the Conewago Creek southeast of Lebanon.
The draw here is that almost everything is made in-house — hand-cut fries, house dressings, and locally sourced meats instead of pre-made shortcuts. The menu runs to American tavern fare: burgers, flatbreads, sandwiches, salads, and shareable starters, anchored by the signature Coleburger topped with sautéed mushrooms. There is a bar that fills up with regulars and a screened-in porch where you can hear the creek on a warm evening. It is a practical, friendly stop for a sit-down meal away from the Hershey tourist strip, and an easy detour if you are working your way through the Lebanon Valley back roads.
Generally open Monday and Wednesday through Sunday from 11 AM, closing around 10 PM most nights and a bit later on Friday and Saturday, with the kitchen winding down before the bar; closed Tuesdays as of our last check. Hours and kitchen times can shift — call ahead or confirm current hours on their site or Facebook page before a special trip.

It is typically closed on Tuesdays. The rest of the week it opens at 11 AM, so plan your visit for any day but Tuesday — and confirm on their site before driving out, since holiday hours can vary.
Yes. There is a screened-in porch overlooking the Conewago Creek, which makes for a pleasant spot on a mild spring or fall evening. It is one of the nicer creekside dining setups on the Lebanon County back roads.
The Coleburger — a house burger topped with sautéed mushrooms — is the signature item. Regulars also point to the chicken pesto flatbread and the crab dip starter, and nearly everything comes with their hand-cut fries.
It is a casual tavern that handles walk-in diners and bar seating, so you do not need a reservation for a regular meal. The bar can fill up on Friday nights, so arriving early or planning a short wait is wise on weekends.
