Family Campground & RV Park · Jonestown, PA
A small, family-owned campground in Jonestown — right where I-81 meets I-78, under new ownership and steadily getting fixed up — that makes a cheap, convenient base about 24 minutes from Hersheypark.

Our take This is the practical pick of the Jonestown pair — not as polished or as wooded as the resorts farther out, but cheap, simple, and close, with new owners clearly investing in the place. If you just want full hookups, a pool for the kids, and a short drive to Hersheypark, it does the job. And since we do RV and hitch work a few minutes south at I-81 Exit 80, we're an easy stop if anything feels off on the tow in or out.
Cozy Corner sits just off the I-81/I-78 split on Old Route 22, a few minutes east of the Jonestown KOA — so it's the second of our two close-in Jonestown campgrounds, and the cheaper, simpler of the two. It's the former Jonestown AOK Campground: a Lancaster County family, the Townsleys, bought it in 2023, renamed it, and have been steadily fixing the place up — a freshly paved road to the main building, new laundry machines, and a game room being built out. It's a small, family-run operation rather than a sprawling resort, which is the appeal if you want something straightforward and close.
Lodging covers the bases — full-hookup RV sites with water and sewer, pull-thru sites for the bigger rigs, tent sites that each come with a picnic table and fire ring, and a handful of rental cabins for folks who'd rather not pitch a tent. On the amenity side there are two pools (an adult pool and a kids' pool), a fenced dog park, disc golf, plus courts for basketball and volleyball, horseshoes, and corn hole, a playground, and a camp store with ice, firewood, and propane. The laundromat runs 24 hours and the showers are free and hot.
From our shop in Grantville it's about 18 minutes north on I-81, and the campground's own directions put Hersheypark around 24 minutes away — so it's genuinely a park-weekend base, not a far-flung getaway. Sitting right where I-81 and I-78 meet makes it easy to reach, and an easy stop for us if you're towing: we do RV and hitch work just down the interstate at Exit 80, so if the rig feels off coming or going, swing by.
Roomy, level sites — full-hookup RV spots with water and sewer, pull-thrus for the bigger rigs, and tent sites that each come with a picnic table and fire ring.
A handful of camping cabins in a wooded setting for guests who'd rather not bring a tent or a camper. Cabins are limited, so book ahead — and confirm what's included before you arrive.
Two swimming pools (an adult pool and a children's pool, open in summer), a fenced dog park, disc golf, and courts for basketball and volleyball, plus horseshoes, corn hole, and a playground.
The practical stuff for a multi-night stay — a store with ice, firewood, and propane, free hot showers, and a 24-hour laundromat with new machines.
Check-in is after 2pm and check-out is before noon, with quiet hours from 10pm to 8am. The pool, store, and dog park keep seasonal hours, and rates and the cabin lineup change — call (717) 865-2526 or book through their site to confirm the current season, availability, and pricing before you head out.

Yes. Pets are welcome on a leash and there's a fenced dog park on site, so your dog has somewhere to run. The campground asks that pets aren't left unattended at your site or brought into buildings, and that you clean up after them.
Yes — Cozy Corner is the former Jonestown AOK Campground. A Lancaster County family, the Townsleys, bought it in 2023 and renamed it, and they've been steadily upgrading the park since. If you remembered it under the old name, you're in the right spot.
It has full-hookup and pull-thru sites that suit larger rigs, but site lengths vary, so call ahead with your length and slide-out needs. And if anything feels off on the way in or out — brakes, bearings, a hitch that doesn't sit right — we do RV and hitch work a few minutes south at I-81 Exit 80 in Grantville.
