Tires & torque
Check cold pressures against your door-jamb placard (RV tires often need 80+ PSI). Inspect valve stems for cracks and verify lug torque—typically 120-140 ft-lb on Class C chassis. If it's been sitting all winter, tires may have developed flat spots or lost pressure.
Roof & seals
Walk the roof if safe to do so. Check AC shrouds, skylights, and antenna mounts for loosened screws or cracked seals. Small cracks become big leaks fast. Self-leveling lap sealant handles most minor repairs.
Brakes & fluids
Verify brake fluid is above MIN, engine oil is clean, and coolant is the right color without sludge. Listen for scraping at low speed—a sign of rusted pads after sitting. RV brakes work hard; don't assume they're fine because mileage is low.
Tow & electrical
Test your 7-way plug with a tester (cheap at any auto parts store). Verify the breakaway switch, check trailer brake gain settings, cycle slide-outs fully, and run the generator under load for a few minutes.
