What that shake means
If the steering wheel or brake pedal pulses when slowing from highway speed, you're likely dealing with warped rotors or uneven pad deposits. It's not immediately dangerous, but it does mean your braking isn't as effective as it should be—and it'll get worse.
Driving with brake shake
You can still drive, but give yourself more stopping distance and avoid hard braking. Don't ignore it for long—what starts as a vibration can turn into longer stopping distances and accelerated wear.
Getting it fixed
Depending on rotor condition, we can either resurface them or replace them. Resurfacing works if there's enough material left; replacement is the better long-term fix. We'll measure and give you honest options—not just sell you parts you don't need.
