This one is genuinely in our backyard. J&P is a working family winery — not a resort, not a venue-for-hire — and that comes through the moment you pull into the gravel lot. The staff pours wines they grew and made themselves, and the tasting room has the unhurried pace of a place that isn't trying to be something it's not. For visitors who drove up to Hershey from somewhere wine-country-adjacent, this is a pleasant surprise. For locals, it's a reliable low-key weekend stop.
J&P Winery is a member of the Pennsylvania Winery Association and is listed in the Hershey-Harrisburg Wine Country trail, though you'd never know it was a "trail stop" from the atmosphere — it feels more like visiting someone's farm than a mapped attraction.
